Terms and Conditions of Sale
These terms apply to the supply of programmes, courses, facility bookings, consulting engagements, and other services by The Arthur Lok Jack Global School of Business ("the School"), unless a signed agreement between us says otherwise. Where a signed agreement, offer letter, or registration agreement applies, that document prevails over these terms.
1. Quotations and confirmation
A quotation is valid for the period stated on it. A registration, booking, or engagement is confirmed only when the School accepts it in writing. Fees are quoted in Trinidad and Tobago dollars unless the invoice states another currency, and are exclusive of taxes and duties unless stated otherwise.
2. Payment
Invoices are payable by the due date shown on the invoice. Where a programme or booking requires payment, or a deposit, before the start date, that requirement is stated at the point of registration and must be met for the place or booking to be held.
Payment must be made in full without set-off or deduction. Where an employer or other sponsor is to pay on a participant's behalf, the participant remains responsible for the fees if the sponsor does not pay.
3. Late or non-payment
Where an invoice is not paid by the due date, the School may withhold access to the relevant service, withhold results, certificates, or transcripts, and decline further registrations until the account is settled. The School may also recover the reasonable costs of collection. The School will contact the customer before taking any of these steps.
4. Changes, cancellation, and refunds
The cancellation, deferral, transfer, and refund terms that apply to a particular programme, course, or booking are those confirmed to the customer at the point of registration, and are not varied by these terms. Requests to cancel or defer must be made in writing.
The School may reschedule, relocate, change the delivery mode of, or withdraw a programme, course, or event, including where registrations are insufficient for it to run. Where the School withdraws a programme or event that has been paid for and no alternative acceptable to the customer is available, the amount paid for it is refunded.
5. Delivery of services
The School will provide its services with reasonable care and skill and in accordance with its academic and professional standards. Named facilitators, faculty, venues, timetables, and syllabus content may change, and the School will notify customers of material changes as early as it reasonably can.
6. Confidentiality and intellectual property
Each party will keep the other's confidential information confidential and use it only for the purpose for which it was provided. Course materials, teaching materials, and deliverables prepared by the School remain the property of the School or its licensors, and are provided for the customer's own use. They may not be copied, resold, or used to deliver training to third parties without the School's written permission.
7. Personal information
Personal information provided in connection with a registration, booking, or engagement is handled in accordance with the School's Privacy Policy, available at aljgsb.lokjackgsb.edu.tt/privacy.
8. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits either party's liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, business, or anticipated savings.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Trinidad and Tobago.
